There are several hotels along State Rd 37 on the West side of town just off the 3rd St exit.
The TownPlace Suites, Marriot hotel just off of State Rd 37 will offer a discount to our group if you book with them. Each room is a suite meaning it has a small kitchenette in it with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher and some basic dishes. They have studio suites, 1 bedroom suites and 2 bedroom suites. Each suite has a pull out couch as well as the beds. The 2 bedroom suite has 2 rooms with doors to close off the rooms and can sleep 6. The 1 bedroom suites have a bedroom with a door and can sleep 4. They do have adjoining rooms so be sure to ask for those if you want them.
The room rates will be $99 (studios and one bedroom) to $139 (two bedrooms) per night. The rate may even be less depending on how many rooms are acturally booked. All rooms have a queen size bed and a pull-out couch and a small kitchenette with dishes and pots and pans (not really needed for an overnight, but it is there). The one bedroom and two bedroom suites have the bedrooms seperated from the couch, sofa, etc. area by a door for presonal privacy. The sofas all open into sleepers. The studio rooms do not have the bed closed off from the sofa, etc. by a door. If you would like your room to be adjoining to others in your party/family, make that request at the time of booking. The hotel offers a continental breakfast.
Check in is 3:00 pm so you could drive to Bloomington and dress for the wedding in your hotel room, check out is 12 noon. The hotel telephone number is 812-334-1234. The address is TownePlace Suites, 105 S. Franklin Road, Bloomington, Indiana 47404 and is just off 3rd Street.
Reservations must be made by 3/6/2010, after that availability is on a space available basis. We have 9 rooms, (5 studios and 4 2 bedroom suites) that are guaranteed.
